What’s been going on?
We had a great week and the children are already pros at
following our routines and procedures! The children enjoyed learning about
their names and the color yellow! We sorted all the names in our class by the
first letter, practiced writing our names and friends names, and even wrote our
names with beans! We also learned about the color yellow and made a circle map of
all things yellow. The children also enjoyed one of our new favorite books, “Pete
the Cat- I Love My White Shoes”. I’m sure lots of you have already heard your
child singing Pete’s song! The children also visited 8 centers this week during
our Morning Center time. Here are a few pictures
from the centers.
Using the beans to write their names worked on letter recognition and fine motor skills
In ABC center the children matched upper and lower case letters.
In iPad center the children got to use lots of different education apps. This, of course, was everyone's favorite! They were all very excited to know that we will get to use iPads every other week during centers!
