We have jumped in head first into the Daily Five and the kids are doing GREAT! It is so awesome to see them reading, writing, and listening to reading so independently. We have been working really hard to build our stamina and the class is now able to read, write, and listen to reading for 15 minutes with NO interruptions! Next week we will introduce word work. Once we have mastered the routines and procedures for this part of the Daily Five the kids will be able to start "Read to Someone". I have also been busy assessing students and their progress is amazing. They are all turning into little readers and writers!
